Why do craft chocolate makers still bother writing the expiration date on their bars? The chances of this beauty lasting until March 2020 are more remote than me becoming the President of the United States (although you can't really be too sure these days).
We have talked about @kakaobolaget before, and you have probably already seen this marvellous mold and packaging (having a background in design helps A LOT in the craft chocolate industry in case you haven't noticed) 🎀🎨
Fredrik and Ulrika already left me speechless with their Sri Lanka bar rich in tobacco and spicy notes.
How will this Peru taste?
Ingredients: 72% fine cacao from @ucayali_river_cacao and sugar.
The journey of flavors is truly incredible:
- first 30 seconds: a roller coaster of fruitiness! This chocolate covers almost all the fruity notes you can find on a tasting wheel. It goes from exotic fruits like mango, to red fruits like raspberries, until the "less sweet" green banana and green grapes. Never experienced so many fruits in one bite 🍌🍈🍇🍍🍓
- last 30 seconds: the fruitiness and freshness of the first moments leave space to more intense notes of almonds and pepper. The chocolate becomes spicy and nutty just in time to leave you with an unforgettable aftertaste.
Watch out for Sweden, everybody! Some really good chocolate is coming out of this country and it's not asking for your permission 🍫😋
