I had a huge desire to try and redeem myself from yesterday, so hit the treadmill this morning to try and get a fast 5K. However, this is what happened:

➡️2 @ 6:22 pace- I was shooting for 3.1 and my lungs felt ok, but as soon as my legs started feeling wobbly, I got nervous and cut it at 2. I KNOW that if I hadn’t looked down at my distance until 2.25- I would’ve been able to hang on, but since I was just short of 2- I got in my head and said I was going to call it at 2.

➡️Felt like I had to do something to get some confidence, so did 1 mile @ 5:55- I’ve NEVER done a sub 6 min mile, but also haven’t really ever tried, so that was cool.

Total- 5 miles @ 7:32 pace.
Kind of fun to play around with the short speed!
Then, we went to Estes Park and hiked 5 miles up a beautiful trail (pic was from the parking lot afterwards). It was a really nice day!
