Another experiment underway... My Moon and My Sun. 🌚🌞 I started making this piece for some calming therapy in between all the crazy that’s happening. On that note, here’s some advice: Stay authentic. When you create something, create it for you. Just you, nobody else. Do what makes your heart sing. Stop making what you think everybody else wants to see. Because if you’re brave enough to stay true to yourself, like a real artist, then success will come. You will draw wonderful and like-minded people to you. So trust your instincts, and STAY AUTHENTIC. ✨ . . . . . #handwoven #weaversofinstagram #woventextiles #rugmaking #jungalow #jungalowstyle #madeindorset #bohemianstyle #thenewbohemians #freespirit #jurassiccoast #westbay #bridport #westdorset #dorsetmakers #handmadeindorset #madeinengland #weavers #tapestry #interiordesign #homedecor #weaving #loom #wallhanging #wallart #wovenwallhanging #voodoomagic #interiorstyle #textileart #naturalfibres

3’ X 3’ hand woven tapestry (plus a few extra inches of driftwood). Finley was my very patient 11 year old photographer. He had to take a whole bunch of photos because the wind kept blowing the fringe all over the place! It’s the most beautiful, chilly, yet sunny Friday here today! Have a great weekend, friends!! 😘 #weaveweird #weaversofinstagram #waves #surf #fibreart #novascotia #halifaxart #halifaxnoise #tapestry #weaving #macramemakers #textileoftheday

Throwback to this lovely weave I made a few months ago. Imagine if I would keep going and turn it into a scarf 🧣 perfect for gloomy winter days, an instant mood enhancer. . And yes - It’s possible to weave long pieces on a frame loom and I shared a tutorial on my website www.kaliko.co/blog . There has been an influx of followers on my page over the last week or so, and I feel like it’s time for another introduction soon. I’m not sure how you found me because I do a lot of (slightly related) things: weaving, dyeing, making knitting bags. I’ll talk more about it tomorrow. But today I’ll stay at this: wishing you a lovely day filled with self love because we are our owns loveliest sweetest and the best everything. 😘
