I wonder what Edinburgh looked like 300 years ago. Thankfully it seems it hasn’t changed much 😁

Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 does have some resemblances to my hometown, Ottawa. I’d take their December weather.

Pretty much a year ago to date. Edinburgh during the holidays is enchanting. 🎄

💬 what a perspective of Edinburgh taken by @kaybarbss it does make you think back to late 13th century when Edward I of England attempted to seize the then vacant Scottish throne. From 1296 to 1341, the castle bounced from English to Scottish hands several times during the First and Second Wars of Scottish Independence. ******************************************* Selecting your 🎉🔝🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🔝🎉 Snaps from in and around Edinburgh to be featured tag #Edinburghresidents ******************************************* Love our posts? Anyone else secretly love kirkyards/graveyards? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Just me? Okay, then. • For as long as I can remember, I’ve found cemeteries eerily beautiful and tranquil. I always thought that was weird until I went to Edinburgh for the first time and learned that there, “kirkyards” are nothing to be feared! Since that first trip, I’ve been back several times and gathered a ton of recommendations to see, stay, eat, and explore in Edinburgh. Link in bio.
